At Better Veterinarians, we believe every veterinary student deserves unlimited opportunities to build confidence by mastering client communication and clinical reasoning — without ever risking a real patient or client relationship. Consultations and communication skills are repeatedly mentioned throughout the literature as one of the most important skills to a veterinary student, new graduate and veterinarian. Current education methods are often expensive to run, provide subjective feedback and are time consuming.

We created the most advanced AI-powered, real time consultation simulator specifically for veterinary education, so students can practice full OSCE-style consultations and get more comfortable communicating.

Our Story

The idea for ACTS was born after our consultation practice at university. We’d both come from client-facing jobs and considered ourselves confident communicators, yet we quickly realised how incredibly difficult it is to truly listen, take accurate notes, ask the right history questions, generate problems lists, ask more questions, request expensive tests, show genuine empathy… and the list goes on. All while the clock is ticking.

We kept wishing there was a safe way to practice full consultations before facing real clients or actors… but nothing like that existed.

A few months later, James turned to Corey and asked, “Could we actually build something that mimics a real client-vet conversation?” Without hesitation Corey replied, “I think I can make that.” Ten months, eight prototypes, and countless late nights later, we had done it. We combined real veterinary experience with cutting-edge AI to create a conversation simulator that feels remarkably human. Now, it is available for any university looking to take education to the next level — one confident consultation at a time.
